                                           Petrified spruce.  The park puts these specimens below ground level and then covers them with a grate. Keeps curious hands from taking a chunk!.

                                           Back on the road, seeing the gorge walls a bit closer.
                 WOW! In Washington, you can report it when you see someone litter. In New Mexico, that doesn't work. The police officer has to witness it first hand.
                         Wild Horse Monument.  I would've loved to see this closer.
                                   Wild Horse Monument. Large metal horse sculptures. It made me feel as if I were seeing wild horses racing along the Washington hills. Magnificent.

                                          Reminds me of southern NM, but maybe greener.
                                        Sarah at the rest stop. Beautiful, bright-eyed, healthy.
                                      She sells ViSalus---nutritional shakes. These shakes helped
                                              her lose weight and feel great.
